  • Added new PROs: Blue Sky Self Storage joined NSA as a tenth PRO, with an initial contribution of four assets in 2020 valued at approximately $18.5 million
  • Captive pipeline acquisitions1: NSA acquired nine facilities from its captive pipeline totaling $79.4 million
  • Third party acquisitions: NSA acquired 64 facilities from third parties totaling $445.4 million
  • JV acquisitions: NSA's joint ventures acquired three facilities in 2020 totaling $21.8 million (one of these facilities was combined with an existing store and is being operated as a single facility)

1. We consider a property to be in our captive pipeline if it (i) is under a management service agreement with one of our PROs, (ii) meets our property quality criteria, and (iii) is either required to be offered to us under the applicable facilities portfolio management agreement or a PRO has a reasonable basis to believe that the controlling owner of the property intends to sell the property in the next seven years.
