Job Overview:

The Associate Systems Engineer supports the overall technology strategy and streamlines business processes across the main offices and field site locations for National Storage Affiliates, which includes 700+ self-storage stores managed by NSA. This role will have the unique opportunity to build "greenfield" systems and applications like Atlassian and Azure and set our technology strategy and direction for the future. This role will work in various areas, including front end web technologies, integrations, and supporting technology projects and service desk.

This role with NSA, you will report to the Manager of Corporate IT to support multiple technology development initiatives. You will also be supported by an internal and external teams as well as external vendors that provide technology assistance to operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists with organizing, implementing Technology, and operations service desk team tasks
  • Configure and customize Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Design templates for various business processes to support business projects
  • Work with internal technology team and external vendors on various projects and daily support items including hardware and software
  • Develop reports and dashboards to support technology, work visibility, and process efficiency

*Responsibilities of this role may change as the department's needs change. However, this role's responsibility will focus primarily on building and optimizing the technology and other departmental business processes using various technology tools.

Compensation Range: $60,000-$63,000 annually plus bonus a

FLSA: Exempt

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience in IT Support
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Win10, Office 365.
  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud applications like JIRA and Confluence
  • Azure and Microsoft 365 experience
  • JIRA (Atlassian) certification is a plus
  • IT operations experience
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage multiple projects at once
  • Experience in software development and SDLC methodology
  • Experience with API integration with internal and external systems a plus
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and customer service

Hybrid Office Schedule:

2-3 days in office at our Denver Tech Center location;  during probationary period up to 5.
