Job Summary:

The data scientist will use data to drive decision making in our pricing, marketing, and acquisition efforts. The data scientist will have the opportunity to develop their skillset while making an immediate impact within a growing company. The data scientist will work within a collaborative team, assisting with exploratory data analysis, data cleaning and validation, model development and deployment, and ad hoc analyses. We’re looking for a high integrity, motivated individual who wants to contribute to a great company.

Reports to: Vice President, Business Intelligence and FP&A Analysis

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Python (if you use R instead and think you can learn Python quickly you should still apply for the job).
  • Proficient with SQL – writing queries to collecting relevant data.
  • Exposure to Machine Learning - experience deploying machine learning models is a plus.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and Visualization tools are a plus (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Proficiency with GIT version control is a plus.
  • Comfortable with MS Office applications (especially Excel)
  • 1-4 years of applicable work experience (Entry Level)

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills (ability to skillfully communicate insights to a non-technical audience).
  • Strong initiative, decision making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited university or college in a related discipline (statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science)

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk. This position may be required to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $90,000 plus bonus

FLSA Status: Exempt
